Best In Slot Gear Vengeance Demon Hunter
- This is a VERY important set of gear. This is the gear set that you want to keep on so that you can protect yourself in the event that someone attacks you BEFORE you have the chance to get into the right gear. This gear set is a mixture of the best gears, using the most popular options from all the sets.
- To get the best in slot enchants you'll need the following reputations. The Scryers or The Aldor exalted. To get the best in slot gear you'll need the follow reputation. Scale of the Sands exalted. World of Warcraft has many professions and all of them have a decent bonus. There are two categories: Gathering and Production.
Zeherah has implemented the changes slated thus far for 5.3 on the beta version of her Femaledwarf online spreadsheet, and the theory-crafters at Elitist Jerks have been working to establish a best-in-slot gear list for hunters that takes the changes into account. Currently, the hunter BiS list for 5.3 stands as shown below.
Items are the same for all three specs except for bracers and belt. For bracers, the Crit version of the randomly-enchanted Beady Eye Bracers is favored for Survival while the Haste version is favored for Beast Mastery and Marksmanship. For the belt, Links of the Disintegrator with three agility gems is slightly ahead for SV, while Jingling Fetishgirdle is better for BM and MM.
Keep in mind that the best item for a particular slot may vary depending on which other items you currently have equipped, your gems, enchantments, reforging, etc. This list shows the best possible combination as determined using Zeherah’s spreadsheet.
Best In Slot Gear Marksmanship Hunter
*For those who do not yet have access to Ra-den, I’ve suggested alternatives to Ra-den’s drops.
- Head: Gaze of Gara’jal Drops from the Council of Elders in ToT.
- Neck: Quadra-Head Brooch Drops from Megaera. (Asssuming Necklace of the Terracotta Archer is not available in a heroic version. See this post for discussion)
- Shoulders: Saurok Stalker’s Spaulders Token is dropped by Iron Qon in ToT.
- Chest: Saurok Stalker’s Tunic Token is dropped by Dark Animus in ToT.
- Back: Tigerfang Wrap Quest reward from Cloak of Virtue, part of the Wrathion legendary questline, that will become available in Patch 5.3. (The best pre-5.3 choice is the Pinionfeather Greatcloak, dropped by Ji-kun in ToT).
- Waist
- Jingling Fetishgirdle For BM and MM. Contained in the Cache of Storms, a lootable chest that spawns after Ra-den is defeated in heroic ToT. (*Non-Ra-den alternative is Links of the Disintegrator, dropped by Durumu in ToT).
- Links of the Disintegrator For SV. Drops from Durumu in ToT.
- Legs: Saurok Stalker’s Legguards Token is dropped by Ji-kun in ToT.
- Feet: Treads of the Sanguine Volley Contained in the Cache of Storms, a lootable chest that spawns after Ra-den is defeated in heroic ToT. (*Non-Ra-den alternative is Quakestompers, dropped by Tortos in ToT).
- Bracers:
- Beady-Eye Bracers – Haste version for BM and MM. Drops from Tortos in ToT and is also available on the BMAH.
- Beady-Eye Bracers – Crit version for SV. Drops from Tortos in ToT and is also available on the BMAH.
- Gloves: Saurok Stalker’s Gloves Token drops from Council of Elders in ToT.
- Ring 1: Raden’s Swift Seal Contained in the Cache of Storms, a lootable chest that spawns after Ra-den is defeated in heroic ToT. (*Non-Ra-den alternative is Sign of the Bloodied God, droppped by Jin’rokh the Breaker in ToT).
- Ring 2: Gore-soaked Gear Drops from Dark Animus in ToT
- Trinket 1: Renataki’s Soul Charm Drops from Jin’rokh the Breaker in ToT
- Trinket 2: Bad Juju Drops from Council of Elders in ToT.
- Ranged: Voice of the Quilen Drops from Iron Qon in ToT
